Hill Country Barbecue Market
thanksgiving2014rotatorNYn
Hill Country honors the barbecue and live music capital of Texas and takes its "cue" from the legendary meat-markets-turned-barbecue-joints of Central Texas with their distinctive, dry-rub style. All barbecue is cooked fresh daily on premise in our custom meat-smoking room. Our brisket, sausage, ribs and other meats are smoked low and slow over Texas post oak and are served on butcher paper, counter-style by the pound as is traditional in Central Texas..

Madison Square Garden (sometimes called MSG or simply The Garden) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Located between Seventh and Eighth Avenues from 31st to 33rd Streets, it is situated atop Pennsylvania Station (the second railroad station to bear the name). It is the fourth venue to bear the "MSG" name, the first two (1879) and (1890) of which were located on Madison Square, on East 26th Street and Madison Avenue, with the third Madison Square Garden further uptown at Eighth Avenue and 50th Street. The Garden is used for professional basketball and ice hockey, as well as boxing, concerts, ice shows, circuses, and other forms of sports and entertainment. Central Park

Central Park is an urban park in the central New York City borough of Manhattan. It was initially opened in 1857, on 778 acres (315 ha) of city-owned land. In 1858, soon-to-be famed national landscapers and architects, Frederick Law Olmsted (1822–1903) and Calvert Vaux (1824–1895), won a design competition to improve and expand the park with a plan they titled the "Greensward Plan". Construction began the same year, continued during the American Civil War further south, and was completed in 1873. Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States.

The Lower East Side, sometimes abbreviated as LES, is a neighborhood in the southeastern part of the New York City borough of Manhattan, roughly located between the Bowery and the East River, and Canal Street and Houston Street. Traditionally an immigrant, working-class neighborhood, it began rapid gentrification in the mid-2000s, prompting The National Trust for Historic Preservation to place the neighborhood on their list of America's Most Endangered Places.[2][3] It has become a home to upscale boutiques and trendy dining establishments along Clinton Street's restaurant row

The multi-floor market features products you'd find at any Urban Outfitters (moderately-priced men's and women's clothing, jewelry, home-decor goods), plus an expanded record shop and a gallery space that features pop-up shops. The Market Space, located on the first floor, is home to handcrafted, one-of-a-kind pieces—many created in New York. And when you need to take a break from all the shopping, there's The Gorbals, a restaurant and bar from Chef Ilan Hall that occupies part of the third floor and the rooftop.

Pearl River Mart
pearltea_thumb[5]
After two decades in its former, comfortingly dismal Canal Street locale, Pearl River Mart—the yin and yang of Asian-import emporia—has settled nicely into its sparkling home on lower Broadway. This treasure trove of a department store is a bustling and yet surprisingly tranquil scene, with traditional Chinese folk Muzak and a cascading waterfall countering a bargain-hunting vibe. Pearl River carries nearly everything under the sun—from clothes, birdcages, grocery supplies, candy, imported papers, and a wild selection of lamps on the ground floor, to cookware, herbal remedies, live bamboo plants, slippers, windowshades, paper parasols, and crazy Kung-Fu banners in the basement. It's also the place to find less-expensive versions of trendy fare, like glittery slippers and stylish lacquer sushi sets. Plan to spend a bit of time here, since there's always something new to peruse; when you've maxed-out your tolerance for Far Eastern kitsch, head to the main level café for a restorative cup of exotic tea.
